The Frize Sweatshirt, its texture
I must tell you that the texture of the sweatshirt is a little miracle of discretion and elegance : On a simple gray background, the creators of Minami have placed a beautiful checkerboard of small ecru surfaces.
Grey, knitted with a microscopic stockinette stitch, is very luminous because two threads of neighboring shades intersect there which highlight each other. The small unbleached surfaces are shaped like badges or corn kernels. They also have volume, and when you caress the fabric, you feel their soft and slight bulge under your fingers .
The texture of the sweatshirt reminds me of certain paintings by Bernard Frize whose geometric work I appreciate; hence the name I gave to the sweatshirt to affirm the excellence of its graphics.
In a few days , I will tell you why I decided to create this sweatshirt.
See you soon,
Benjamin
